Lenten Spiritual Growth Opportunities, Mar-Apr

Our Lenten Schedule for study includes several opportunities for spiritual growth.

Sundays mornings:   11:30am to 12:15pm.
*  Contemplative Practices, led by Rev. Alice Fleming Townley in the Board Room.  Gather to practice ancient spiritual disciplines such as centering prayer, lectio divina, and holy listening.
*  Group discussion based on Richard Rohr’s devotional book WONDROUS ENCOUNTERS: Scripture for Lent, led by Bob Boldrey and Jim Kocher, in Room 108.  The book can be purchased for $10.00 in Fellowship Hall or at class.

Tuesday evenings,  7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in Room 108; Rev. Rob Carlson will lead a Bible Study and discussion class called: “Reading the Bible with Bonhoeffer.” Beginning Tuesday, March 7, and continuing March 14, 21, 28, and April 4. Light refreshments served.

Wednesday mornings, 10:00  to 11:30.a.m.; led by Rev. Alice Townley in Room 108.  Prayer and group discussion based on the Lenten daily readings from A Way Other Than Our Own, by Walter Brueggemann.

Thursday mornings, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.; led by Rev. Rob  Carlson. The class is looking at passages that explore the politics of Jesus and the disciples. We are reading especially in the Gospel of Luke.
