Join Pastor Lisa to consider the “Christmas Story” as told in each of the four gospels. People tend to combine the Gospels into one story, but each has a different take on the beginning of Jesus’ ministry. - November 28: We will consider the Gospel of Matthew and how the birth of Jesus reflects the fulfillment of the Old Testament Scriptures.
- December 5: We will look at the Gospel of Luke and how the birth of Jesus underscores his ministry to those on the margins of society.
- December 12: No class. Join us for Lessons and Carols at the church.
- December 19: The Gospel of Mark has no birth narrative and the Gospel of John shares a cosmic divine origin for Jesus. We explore why these two Gospels have a different approach to the beginning of Jesus’ ministry.
