Chancel Choir Director Westin Sorrel joined PCO in August 2023. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at Michigan State University.
Prior to arriving in Michigan, Westin was located in Denver, Colorado where he taught choir and music theory at Dakota Ridge High School. He also served as the assistant director and tenor section leader for the Chancel Choir at Bethany Lutheran Church. In addition to conducting and teaching, Westin was active in the Denver professional choral community having regularly sung with Colorado Bach Ensemble, Anima Chamber Ensemble, and St. Martin’s Chamber Choir.
He is a graduate of the School of Music at Colorado State University holding a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education!
